The Reflecting Bermpool

A Reenactment of Bill Viola’s „The Reflecting Pool“ (1979).

‚The Reflecting Bermpool‘ is based on Bill Viola’s ‚The Reflecting Pool‘ (1979), depicting a person jumping into a pool and remaining suspended above the water while the reflection ripples below. As the video unfolds, various visual and temporal anomalies challenge our perception of reality, inviting us to explore the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds.

The sound design of our project is also based on Bill Viola’s original work.
